Policja na statku przy nabrzeżu, na którym doszło do eksplozji znajduje kilkadziesiąt milionów dolarów, sądzi, że są to pieniądze za narkotyki. Świadków tego wydarzenia jest dwóch: poparzony w eksplozji obcokrajowiec i kaleki nowojorczyk - Verbal Kint. Ten pierwszy twierdzi, że widział diabła wcielonego czyli samego Kaysera Soze. Agent Kujan próbuje \"wyciągnąć\" natomiast z drugiego (czyli Verbala) jak doszło do eksplozji? Kto jest w to zamieszany? Co mają z tym wspólnego McManus, Fenster, Keaton, Hockney oraz Kint? I najważniejsze: \"Kim jest Kayser Soze?\". Wspaniała muzyka Johna Ottmana doskonale dodaje nastroju do akcji, której rozwiązania nie sposób jest przewidzieć. Trzeba to obejrzeć.
